July 12, 2025 at 7:30 am in reply to: What are the best websites to watch movies for free in 2025? #164
I’ll be honest with you finding a good site to watch movies for free is kind of a pain these days. Most of them either want you to sign up, spam you with ads, or straight-up look like a virus waiting to happen. Been there, clicked that, regretted everything.
So if you are just bored at home, no Netflix, no Prime, just vibes and you wanna watch a movie without digging through junk these are the 5 free movie sites I actually use. No lies, no weird stuff.
1. FilmRise: This one feels kind of slept on. It’s got a clean setup and a lot of crime shows and thrillers. I found this random documentary once that was so good, I did not touch my phone for like an hour.
2. Tubi: Tubi’s the real deal. No sign-up, just click and watch. It’s full of movies old stuff, weird indie films, even a few decent shows. Not everything is a hit, but I have found some gems I did not expect to like.
3. Pluto TV: Think of Pluto like a free version of cable. There are live channels and on-demand stuff too. One night, I left it running and ended up watching two hours of random action movies. Did not even mean to. That’s how chill it is.
4. Plex: Plex surprised me. I used to think it was only for techy people with home servers and all that, but now they have got free movies and shows. It’s smooth, and the movie selection is not bad at all.
4. Crackle: Crackle’s been around forever. It’s not flashy, but it works. I usually go here when I just want something to play in the background. Ads are there, but not annoying.
July 12, 2025 at 6:10 am in reply to: Is Midjourney good for product image mockups without using Photoshop? #160Okay, so let me tell you if you are like me and don’t feel like spending hours messing around in Photoshop, Midjourney might just be your new best friend. Seriously.
Midjourney is this cool AI tool that lets you create images just by typing what you want. No layers. No confusing tools. No installing anything. You just type a prompt like “a red water bottle on a wooden table with soft lighting,” and boom it gives you a super-realistic image in seconds.
And here’s the wild part it actually looks professional. Like, ad-level good. I tried it for a friend’s candle business. We typed in a prompt describing a cozy winter scene with the candle, and Midjourney made it look like it came straight out of a catalog.
Now, is it perfect? Not always. Sometimes it messes up tiny details like maybe a label looks weird or hands look a little funky.
But for basic product mockups? It’s more than good enough, especially if you just want something clean and eye-catching for social media or your website.
And honestly, it’s so much faster than learning Photoshop. You don’t need to know any design stuff. Just describe what you want, and let Midjourney do the heavy lifting.
if you are a small business owner, a marketer, or just someone trying to make their product look good online without spending hours editing Midjourney is totally worth checking out.
I’ll be real with you. I used to just throw stuff on Instagram whenever I remembered. Monday? I’d post at 2 PM, 6 PM. even 11 at night once (don’t ask). And of course, barely anyone saw it.
One day, I was like what is the deal here? Why do some posts get a ton of likes and others just disappear? I started watching when people I follow post and also when I scroll the most. That’s when it clicked:
Monday mornings—around 9 to 11 AM—is the sweet spot.
Think about it. It’s the start of the week. People are at their desks, sipping coffee, not really in work mode yet. What do they do? Scroll Instagram. It’s like a mini break from Monday madness. That’s your shot. I posted one of my favorite travel photos at 10:15 AM a few Mondays ago nothing fancy, just a beach pic with a chill caption. And boom. Way more likes than usual. It felt good. Not gonna lie.
Now, I’m not saying this is some magic trick. You still gotta post good stuff. But timing helps. A lot.
Try it next Monday. Drop a post around 10-ish, see how it goes. And if it flops? Try again the next week. It’s not about being perfect it’s about figuring out what works for your people.
That’s what I did. And trust me, it made a difference. So you open Snapchat one day, and out of nowhere, there’s this little yellow heart next to someone’s name. You’re probably thinking, “Umm. did I win something? Are we dating now?” Been there. Let me explain.
That yellow heart? It just means you are their #1 Best Friend, and guess what they are yours too. In simple terms, you both snap each other more than anyone else. That’s it. Kinda cute, right?
I remember the first time I saw it it was with my best friend during summer break. We were constantly sending each other random photos of food, our pets, dumb filters. you name it. One morning I wake up, open Snapchat, and boom yellow heart. I legit took a screenshot.
But don’t get too attached. That yellow heart can disappear real fast if you start snapping someone else more. Snapchat is a little savage like that. It only cares about who you’re snapping the most not who you like the most.
And here is a fun thing: if you keep being each other’s top snap buddy, the heart can level up. After two weeks, it turns red. Keep going? You get two pink hearts. It’s basically Snapchat’s version of a friendship medal.
the yellow heart just means you are someone’s top snapper, and they are yours. Nothing complicated. Just keep the streak going if you want to keep it.
