I want to delete or clear my past activity from Google Play, like app searches or installs. Is there a way to manage or remove that history?
July 14, 2025 at 8:02 am #192So you have been downloading a bunch of apps on Google Play games, photo editors, maybe even a few weird ones just to try them out.
But now you are thinking, “How do I clean up that history?” Don’t worry, I have been there too. Let me tell you, clearing your Google Play activity is actually super simple.
First off, why even bother?
Well, maybe you just want a bit more privacy. Or maybe you are tired of seeing old apps you don’t care about anymore.Either way, it feels good to start fresh sometimes. Trust me, a clean activity list just feels. lighter.
Here’s what you do:
Open Google Play on your phone.
Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
Go to “Settings.”
Tap “General” → “Account and device preferences.”
Scroll down and hit “Clear device search history.”Boom. Done. That clears out the stuff you have searched for in the Play Store. But wait there’s more.
Want to go deeper?
Head over to your browser and visit: my activity
This is where Google stores everything app installs, searches, you name it.
Click on “Filter by product”
Choose “Google Play”Then tap the trash icon to delete whatever you want.
And just like that, your Play Store activity is wiped clean.
Honestly, it’s kinda fun once you know how to do it. Like digital spring cleaning. So go ahead, clear it out. You won’t believe how satisfying it feels!-

It’s in the top-right corner. Go ahead, tap it.3. Go to Settings > General > Account and Device Preferences

If you really want a fresh start (like a wipe-the-slate-clean kinda deal), head to myactivity.google.com in your browser.1. Sign in if needed.
2. Search for “Google Play” in the filter.
3. Then click the little trash icon next to the entries. Poof—gone. So yeah, that’s it. Super chill. No drama. Just a few taps, and your Play Store history is clean. I do it every now and then when I’ve been app-hopping like crazy.
