I think someone might have blocked me on Snapchat. What are the sure signs in 2025 that confirm if you’ve been blocked?
July 29, 2025 at 2:32 pm #361Snapchat will not notify you when someone blocks you. Here are a few ways to check.
Search for their username:
Try searching their username. If no results appear, that means they have blocked you. But there could be another reason as well. It can also be that they have deleted their account.
Check chat history
Find your chat history with them. If it doesn’t appear in your chat history, it is most likely that you’ve been blocked.
Try sending them a message
Try sending a snap or a message to them. If it stays grey or pending, then this is another signal that they have blocked you.
Try finding them on another Snapchat account
Ask your friend or family to see if their username shows up to them on their Snapchat account. If it does, that means you’ve been blocked.
It is always good to check with multiple methods to get confirmation whether you’ve been blocked or not.

Also, try searching from another account—if their profile shows there but not on yours, it’s a strong sign. You also won’t see their stories, streaks, or Snap Score anymore.
August 1, 2025 at 10:36 am #378You are wondering if someone blocked you on Snapchat, right? You are not alone. I have been there too, and it can drive you a little crazy trying to figure it out.
Here is what I do:First, I search their name in the app. If their name totally disappears, there is a pretty good chance you have been blocked. But, hang on, do not jump to conclusions yet.
Sometimes people just delete their account or change their username. I usually ask a friend to check if they can still see that person.
If they can, well, you are probably blocked. Don’t panic though. It happens to everyone. And who knows? Maybe you’ll be friends again soon.
August 5, 2025 at 9:45 am #3931. Can’t Find Their Name on Your Friends List
Open Snapchat and check your friends list. Do you not see their name? That is the quickest sign. I remember once, I could not find my bestie there, and my heart dropped for a second.
2. Search for Their Username
Type their username in the search bar. If you can’t find their profile at all, it’s kind of a big hint. But sometimes it’s just a weird Snapchat bug, so don’t freak out yet.
3. Old Chats Gone Missing
If you had chats before, scroll down and open those. If their profile picture or Bitmoji is missing, or the chat just says pending, well. that usually means you might be blocked.
4. Don’t Jump to Conclusions
Do not assume right away. Maybe they deleted Snapchat or just changed their settings. Trust me, I’ve worried for nothing before.
