Let’s be real we have all searched for something in Gmail that we did not really want to see again.

Maybe it was an old convo with your ex, or maybe it was some super embarrassing email you sent five years ago. Either way, you’re here now, thinking, How do I delete that?”

Step-by-Step: How To Delete Gmail Search History

    1. Open Gmail: On your phone or laptop, log into Gmail like you normally do.
    2. Click the Search Bar: You know that little bar at the top where you type stuff you’re looking for? Yep, click it.
    3. See the Suggestions?: Those creepy little reminders of what you searched before? Just hover (on computer) or tap and hold (on your phone) on the suggestion.
    4. Delete It: A tiny “Remove” or “Delete” option should pop up. Tap it. Boom. Gone.

what if you want to go full clean mode?

    1. Clear All Activity (Like, Wipe It All)
    2. Go to myactivity.google.com
    3. Sign in, if you’re not already.
    4. Look for Gmail or “Mail” under your activity.
    5. Hit those three dots (⋮) and choose Delete.
    6. Pick Last hour, Last day, or All time”—it’s up to you!

Little cleanups like this feel so good.
Like cleaning out your closet, but less dust. I do this every few weeks. Clears up the junk and gives me that fresh start vibe.

So go on, delete those old searches. Future You will thank you. Let me know if you got stuck somewhere. I’m here for you!
