How do I know if someone blocked me on Snapchat? Are there any signs like missing chats, profile disappearing, or stories not showing? What should I check first?
July 25, 2025 at 5:09 am #341Ever wondered if someone blocked you on Snapchat? You are not the only one asking! So, here is the deal: Snapchat does not straight-up tell you if someone blocks you.
I know, it’s kind of sneaky, right? But there are a few little signs you can look for.
First, try searching for their username. If they don’t show up at all, that is a big clue. And if you used to snap them, but now their chat disappears from your list. that could be another hint. One time, I sent my friend a snap, and it just stayed on ‘Pending’ forever. Turns out, I’d been blocked (and yes, it stung a little).
Sometimes it’s just a glitch, or maybe they deleted their account. So do not jump to conclusions! Just ask if you are confused; communication is always the move.
In the end, Snapchat loves to keep things mysterious. But if their username, profile, or chat is totally gone, yep, you might’ve been blocked. Trust me, you’ll survive!

August 5, 2025 at 8:14 am #3921. Can’t Find Their Name on Your Friends List
Open Snapchat and check your friends list. Do you not see their name? That is the quickest sign. I remember once, I could not find my bestie there, and my heart dropped for a second.
2. Search for Their Username
Type their username in the search bar. If you can’t find their profile at all, it’s kind of a big hint. But sometimes it’s just a weird Snapchat bug, so don’t freak out yet.
3. Old Chats Gone Missing
If you had chats before, scroll down and open those. If their profile picture or Bitmoji is missing, or the chat just says pending, well. that usually means you might be blocked.
4. Don’t Jump to Conclusions
Do not assume right away. Maybe they deleted Snapchat or just changed their settings. Trust me, I’ve worried for nothing before.
August 8, 2025 at 10:05 am #414You are on Snapchat, and suddenly someone’s just gone. I have been there, and it’s a weird feeling. First, check your chat list to see if their name has disappeared. Something’s up.
Try searching for their username; if nothing pops up or you cannot see their Snap Score, well, you won’t believe this, but you might’ve been blocked.
And it happens to everyone, don’t stress. If you still see their name, maybe they just deleted you, not blocked. Sometimes people need a break, and that is.
