I want to record my iPhone screen for a tutorial. How do I turn on the screen recording feature?
July 9, 2025 at 5:11 am #118have you ever tried to explain something on your iPhone, like a game trick or a new app feature, and just wished you could show it instead of saying it? Yeah, me too. That is where screen recording comes in. And honestly, it’s way easier than you might think.
So here is the deal your iPhone already has the screen recording feature built-in. Yep, no extra apps, no downloads. Apple was kind enough to throw that in for free.
Step 1: Add Screen Recording to Control Center
Alright, first things first. You need to add it to your Control Center.
Go to Settings > Control Center, then scroll down and tap the green plus (+) next to Screen Recording. Boom, done.Step 2: Start Recording
Now swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen (that is the Control Center).
You’ll see a little circle inside a circle icon that’s your screen recorder.
Tap it, and you’ll get a 3-second countdown. Then bam it starts recording everything on your screen!Step 3: Stop When You’re Done
When you are done, tap the red timer at the top-left of your screen and hit Stop.
The video saves straight to your Photos app. Easy, right? And let me tell you I use this all the time. Whether it’s saving an Instagram story trick or showing my grandma how to use FaceTime again (don’t ask), it’s been a game-changer.
July 15, 2025 at 6:10 am #202let me tell you something real quick: if You have ever wanted to show your friend a cool trick in a game, or explain how to do something on your iPhone, screen recording is the move.
And guess what? It’s super easy. Like, really easy. You don’t even need an app. Apple already gave us everything we need!
Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Turn It On (Just Once!)
First things first You have gotta make sure the screen record button is in your Control Center.
Go to Settings > Control Center, then scroll down till you see “Screen Recording.”
Tap the green plus (+) next to it. Boom. You are set.Step 2: Time to Record!
Swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen (if You have got Face ID) or swipe up from the bottom (for older iPhones). You’ll see this little circle-within-a-circle icon. That’s your screen recorder.
Tap it. It gives you a 3-second countdown. and go! You are recording everything on your screen.Want to record your voice too?
Hold down the screen record button, and hit the microphone icon to turn it on.
Now you can talk through whatever you are doing, perfect for tutorials or game commentary.Step 3: Done? Stop Recording.
Just tap the red clock at the top of your screen or go back to Control Center and tap the button again.Your video gets saved straight to Photos. That’s it!
Honestly, once you try it, you’ll wonder how you lived without it. Trust me, I use it all the time especially when my grandma asks how to update her apps. So yeah, go give it a shot!-
